She further expressed that his zeal and dedication to his family and his wife of over 60 years was one of the things that inspired her to believe in love and family.

The 30-year-old makeup artist also thanked him for making time out to attend her wedding despite his ill health. Annalee said:

"I'm a little scared of how much emotion I know is going to come out in the next few days. My grandpa taught us all so much, and he is dearly missed."

2019 has been the best year of my life so far. I made a commitment larger and more sacred than I ever have before. My husband went through an illness that scared the shit out of us. We dealt with friends and family not believing the severity and many not even checking in. I lost one of the most important friendships I’ve had and was depressed and anxious for many months due to that and @mrjdscott’s health. Through all this pain, so much love and beauty emerged. I fell in love with myself again. My relationships with everyone I love have been strengthened. I took more time off work/social media to be in the moment. Deep conversations led to discoveries that otherwise may have been left in the dark. While I learned how to have boundaries and speak my truth, I also learned when to keep my mouth shut and vent to my therapist instead. 😂 I feel whole, happy, light, and strong all at the same time. And with @mrjdscott by my side, I know everything is gonna be alright. 💗

Annalee's paternal grandfather, Jim, who passed away towards the ending of January, had a long battle with cancer and was seemingly doing well before his demise.

The model/makeup artiste further encouraged people in her post telling them to hold on to their loved ones dearly as time was never enough to express how one feels, especially when they are no more.

The reality TV star who thought he was going to die is doing well and giving his wife all the support she needs.

This is possibly the hardest post I’ve chosen to make. I’ve avoided posting this week, but decided this is something I’d like to share. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Monday evening, my Grandpa Jim passed from this life to the next. He had put up a good fight to cancer, but the chemo treatments really weakened his heart. This last year has been full of ups and downs with his strength and overall heath since finishing the chemo. I’ve never seen anyone so dedicated to their health. He kept up with as much exercise as he could, kept notes of his medications, and was able to fill the doctors in on so much more than most people could, especially at 86 years old. He has inspired me in so many ways, but the biggest lesson this last year was not to give up. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I felt terrible having asked my grandparents to travel to Vegas for our wedding. I wanted to have it in Amarillo, but JD was also not well enough to travel much at that time, so we chose to have it at home. What a blessing that he decided to make the trip. I’ll cherish that forever and ever. My dad’s parents are the only good and lasting marriage I had to look at for an example my whole life. They’ve always given me hope that a marriage can truly be “till death do us part” and have shown me how much good can come out of sticking through the tough times. This past year, they made it to 60 years together, and two months after that, I married JD. ⁣⁣ I’ve cried a lot this week. I’m trying not to cry right now as I’m on a plane home. But I know the minute I see my grandma, it’s going to hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ve been distracted with work this week, which was helpful, but I’m a little scared of how much emotion I know is going to come out in the next few days. ⁣⁣ My grandpa taught us all so much and he is dearly missed. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Love on those close to you extra hard. Tell people you love them. Tell them what they mean to you. Make amends with people if you can. And don’t put off doing things for your loved ones, especially if they’re not in great health. You literally have no idea when they might be gone. My grandpa was improving drastically just days before he passed. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ (Cont in comments)

Similarly, her husband, "Property Brothers" JD Scott, also took to Instagram to share his thoughts while flying out for the service at Armadillo, stating that Jim was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all.

In a similar vein to his wife, he urged people to cherish those whom they loved every day, as no moment was guaranteed. Fans took their pages to leave various comments sympathizing with the couple. Someone said:

"It's the little things that get taken for granted a lot, and sadly, something bad has to happen for a reminder of it."

𝐉𝐞𝐦 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝! 👩🏻‍🎤 ⁣ I present to you, my reception dress by @donamatoshiofficial! 💗💗💗 It was so utterly important to me to be able to dance without worrying about stepping on my dress all night. I’ve been following @donamatoshiofficial for over a year and absolutely love her designs. I’m so happy we got to collaborate for the reception dress. It ended up being weirdly cold for Vegas at this time, so I brought some tights to wear and I love how it came together. 🙌🏻⁣ ⁣ 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬: ⁣ DRESS: @donamatoshiofficial ⁣ SHOES: @katyperrycollections EARRINGS: @marinafini⁣ HAIR: @desirre_hairstylist ⁣ SUIT: @opposuits custom rhinestoned by @dmrdepictions All photos by @dennydenn

JD Scott, the older sibling of "Property Brothers" stars, Drew and Jonathan Scott, got married to Annalee Belle, in the 1940s and 1950s vintage-themed wedding last Halloween.

The event which was attended by friends and family was a spooky yet exciting one for the couple. It was the dream wedding for the couple as Belle said she had always dreamed of having a "super different" wedding.

Annalee and JD had a rough patch before their wedding due to a mysterious illness that plagued JD. Although the disease was not known, the couple had to slow down their activities as it was difficult for him to lead a healthy life.

Things are, however, in the clear, and JD Scott is happy to have his wife beside him. The reality TV star who thought he was going to die is doing well and giving his wife all the support she needs in this trying time.
