Marlo Thomas from 'That Girl' Announces New Book with Marriage Secrets Co-Written by Her Husband Phil Donahue

Marlo Thomas and Phil Donahue have been the power couple in the entertainment business since they tied the knot 40 years ago, and now Thomas has announced that they are going to share their marriage secrets in a new book.

The "That Girl" star recently took to Instagram to announce her new book, "What Makes a Marriage Last," which was co-written by her better half, Phil Donahue.

The excited actress also shared that the book is set to hit the stores by May 5, and will feature the secret to having a lasting marital life based on their own experiences alongside other long time couples.

The "Free to Be... You and Me" author and her long time husband traveled the country and sat down with forty celebrated couples whose long marriages they've admired, including award-winning actors, athletes, and newsmakers, writers, comedians, musicians, and a former US president.

The book in itself is a fruition of the intimate stories that the iconic duo gathered coupled with their own rich journey that they traveled together in the last forty years.

As the beautiful Thomas announced in her caption, the book was inspired by plenty of anecdotes that were surprising, inspiring, romantic, and often hilarious.

Thomas had hinted at the huge announcement a day prior to actually making it with a throwback picture from the day of her wedding with the captions suggesting some excitement coming really soon.

So, eager fans had been ready to unravel the surprise, and when she made the official announcement, fans wasted no time to join in on the comments section to voice their response.
