Michelle Obama recently shared a throwback photo of her high school prom, featuring a “pink satin, polka-dotted dress.”

Nearly every teen prepares for their prom night, which is supposedly a night that will always be remembered.

Obama recently took a trip down memory lane and posted her prom photo in line with MTV’s Prom Challenge. She described her gown through the caption:

“Throwing it back to my 1982 prom night and this pink satin, polka-dotted dress.”

The former first lady smiled in a high slit and blazer-like design dress alongside her prom date, who wore a black tux.

MTV’s Prom Challenge aims to recognize schools that encouraged their community to partake in the Elections as registered voters.

The former first lady shared about her relationship’s ups and downs, and how marriage counseling played a part in maintaining their union.

Application through the network’s website can be accessed by parents, students, teachers, and administrators.

Obama has shown support for various organizations and campaigns since her time at the White House, but most importantly, she has put much focus on her family.

LIFE AFTER POLITICS

During Oprah Winfrey’s 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus tour, Obama gave a glimpse of what her life turned out to be after her husband’s term as president ended. She said:

“I want to empower the next generation. I want to be a part of laying out a set of values and principles that we can all be proud of; of this country.”

Furthermore, the next chapter of her life involved having quality time with the man she loves most, and doing so made her realize that Barack Obama is still the man she fell in love with.

The former first lady shared about her relationship’s ups and downs, and how marriage counseling played a part in maintaining their union.

She said:

“We went through a tough time. We did some hard things together. But now we’re out on the other end, and I can look at him, and I still recognize my husband. He’s still the man I fell in love with.”

The couple has been married for nearly three decades, with millions of people looking up to their relationship.
