84-year-old Mary Ann Wakefield made headlines after it was announced on Ole Miss Athletics’ Twitter and NY Daily News’s website that she had won a new 2020 Nissan Altima.

According to NY Daily News, Mary Ann emerged the biggest winner at the competition after she sank a 94-foot putt on the court.

The mother of seven's win had occurred during the University of Mississippi’s Ole Miss Rebels basketball match against The University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide team.

Although the distance between her ball and the target was so much that she couldn’t see the target flag, the 84-year-old managed to hit the impossible-to-practice shot perfectly straight.

Her winning shot had led to celebratory screams from the crowd who couldn’t believe their eyes.

...many have referred to the shot as ‘one of the most impressive putts’ ever seen in the history of college basketball.

“94 Feet? No problem. Mary Ann walked into The Pavilion tonight for @OleMissMBB. She walks out with a NEW CAR thanks to our friends at @CannonMotors!”

Clarion-Ledger reported that a SportsCenter account had also posted the clip of Mary Ann’s shot on Twitter which had received over 11,000 retweets and over 73,000 likes from people.
