Although “Sleeping with the Enemy” received negative comments from critics, the film grossed at $175 million on a $19 million budget.
Perhaps the film’s box office success can be credited to the wonderful cast, including Julia Roberts, Patrick Bergin, and Kevin Anderson. Here’s a look at their lives after the movie hit the theaters.
JULIA ROBERTS
There is no doubt that Julia Roberts’ acting career became a staggering success in Hollywood. After aspiring to become a veterinarian and taking up journalism, the actress decided to give acting a shot.

Roberts later appeared in more romantic comedy films, including “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Notting Hill.” Apart from her career, the star also involves herself in charities that go around the globe.
PATRICK BERGIN
After working in his high school theater and graduating with a degree in Drama Education, Patrick Bergin landed roles in “Sleeping with the Enemy,” “Patriot Games,” and “Love Crimes.”
In 2016, the actor starred in the premiere of “Murder at Shandy Hall - The Musical.” Last year, Bergin took on the lead role in the musical “The Blarney Stone,” a drama in the Irish mythology universe.
Although Bergin’s career was on a high last year, he also endured heartbreak after his partner’s dog passed away. He said:
“Only dog lovers will understand the unique bond that humans and dogs have and the pain you feel when your four-legged friend passes.”
Through the years, his partner, Helen’s, dog Shiloh grew attached to the actor and softened his heart. Sadly, their time together was over before he knew it.
KEVIN ANDERSON
Although Kevin Anderson appeared on the big screen, starting with his feature film debut “Risky Business,” and starring in “Miles from Home,” In Country,” and “Liebestraum,” he has dedicated 35 years of his life as a Steppenwolf Theater Ensemble member.
Anderson appeared on the stage productions “Sunset Boulevard,” “Death of a Salesman,” “Orpheus Descending,” “Come Back Little Sheba,” and “Milk Train Doesn’t Stop Here Anymore.”
His films, however, never compromised for his theatrical productions. Anderson has had several acting credits to his name, including “Rising Sun,” “The Night We Never Met,” “Firelight,” and “Eye of God.”
In 1998, the actor received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his role in the television series “Nothing Sacred,” as well as a Best Actor nomination from the Viewers for Quality Television.
