On International Women's Day, the "Queen & Slim" actress seems to have confirmed to her Instagram followers that she and her husband are expecting a daughter.

Aware that interracial relationships are still criticized in America, they're thinking of moving elsewhere.

A DANCING BABY GIRL

As she shared footage of her baby dancing in her womb to the rest of her followers on Instagram, she captioned it saying:

"Favorite moments with the baby. Can you see her dancing in there? Every time I try to record she stops."

This isn't the first time the actress referred to her unborn child as "she," as during an interview on "The Graham Norton Show" back in January, she did so as well.

MOVING TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY

Now that they're about to begin a whole new life with their daughter, Jodie and Joshua are considering different countries as their new home. This comes after Jodie herself had some unpleasant experiences in America because of being Black, and she doesn't want her daughter to experience the same thing.

Aware that interracial relationships are still criticized in America, they're thinking of moving elsewhere. After all, the "Queen & Slim" actress was raised in England by Jamaican parents, and it was a much better experience than when she moved to the US where she was made to feel like an outcast.

A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR THEIR CHILD

She adds that she wants her daughter to grow up in a safe environment, where violence is not a norm. Acknowledging the current culture in America, she feels this is not the kind of environment her daughter could thrive in.

“The racial dynamics over here are fraught. White supremacy is overt. It’s the reason I don’t want to raise my kids here. I don’t want my kids to grow up doing active shooter drills at school.”

Turner-Smith and Jackson are ready to welcome their daughter anytime now, as she is eight months pregnant. The lovely couple has been dating since late 2018 and got married in a secret and private ceremony in December 2019.
