Betty White & Sandra Bullock's Lasting Friendship Was Cemented after Co-starring in 2009 Film 'The Proposal'

Veteran Hollywood actress Betty White and Sandra Bullock co-starred in the 2009 romcom movie "The Proposal." Ever since, the duo has formed a strong friendship.

During a live interview on The View, legendary actress Betty White described Sandra Bullock as one of the most special people she has ever met.

Coming from someone who has lived that long and worked with an unbelievable amount of people, that is a powerful complement.

And it didn't end there; Betty also told the women of The View that she and Sandra became lifelong friends on the set of the hit movie "The Proposal."

In the movie, Sandra plays Margaret Tate, the role of an overbearing boss who needs to get married to Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) to avoid getting deported to Canada while Betty plays Andrew's grandma Annie who immediately warms up to Margaret. A source spoke to Closer Weekly regarding the pair's extraordinary bond:

"Sandra adores everything about Betty, but especially her ability to make fun of herself, which Sandra does, too."

Both actresses are a bundle of fun, and fans know what to expect whenever they see any of these two on their TV screens — a whole lot of laughter.

An insider claims that the 98-year-old actress taught her friend Bullock, 55, everything she knows about the entertainment industry.

Bullock is so fond of her friend; she never gets tired of spending time with her.

The "Golden Girls" star has been in the game from the beginning, and Sandra believes that despite her age, she is still "kicking it."

Betty White celebrated her 98th birthday back in January and Sandra, and Ryan Reynolds took time out to wish her a happy birthday in an adorable way. Ryan shared a video on his Twitter, accompanied by a short message which read:

"Happy 98th Birthday to the one and only Betty White #XCVIII @BettyMWhite."

In the video, Ryan can be seen taking turns to serenade Betty with "Happy Birthday to You," but it soon quickly turns into a competition for her affection.

The two keep going at it, trying to out-do each other, with Ryan even shedding a few tears at some point. At the end of the clip, Sandra says, "I love you," and air kisses the camera.

Bullock is so fond of her friend; she never gets tired of spending time with her or being in Betty's presence. Whenever she gets a little time off from work, the Academy Award winner takes her kids — Louis, 10, and Laila, 8 — and her beau, Bryan Randall, to visit the veteran actress at her home in Los Angeles.
