Kevin Bacon Is Staying Home for Wife Kyra Sedgwick as He Promotes '6 Degrees' Social Distancing Campaign Online

Kevin Bacon has joined other celebrities to do his part to ensure everyone keeps a safe distance from each other during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Since the first reported case earlier this year, celebrities have been playing their roles to ensure that people stay safe during the coronavirus outbreak.

The latest star to join the list would be Kevin Bacon who shared a video to encourage people to partake in the "6 Degrees" campaign. Through the post's caption, the star explained that:

"It's one way we can help prevent the spread of #Coronavirus and save lives. The more of us who can, make it safer for those who can't."

Elton John took to Instagram to post a picture as he wrote that he was staying home for his husband, David Furnish, and their two children

In line with his teaching, his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, ensured that she maintained some distance from her husband as he explained that he was staying at home because it saved lives was "the only way we're going to slow down the spread of this coronavirus."

E! News noted that the "Footloose" actor had proceeded to nominate his fellow celebrity friends Jimmy Fallon, Demi Lovato, Elton John, Brandi Carlile, David Beckham, and Kevin Hart to share who they stay home for.

After accepting his nomination, Elton John took to Instagram to post a picture as he wrote that he was staying home for his husband, David Furnish, and their two children, Elijah Joseph Daniel, and Zachary Jackson Levon.

Before the pandemic, Kyra had revealed how she had felt after she and Kevin had met on the set of the 1988 film "Lemon Sky."

The actress had been "terrified" when she began to fall for Kevin as she believed that she couldn't count on people to be there for her.

Despite her fears, she and Kevin got married in the same year and proceeded to have two children, daughter Sosie and son Travis. While the pair's relationship has remained steady, Kyra is yet to master the art of gifting her husband.

The revelation had come during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel where she said she had gotten into the habit of gifting her husband collared shirts.

Kyra and Kevin have also made it a rule to put each other and their marriage first before any other thing, including their children.
