A tattoo artist recently caught Vanessa’s attention due to a photo of a leg tattoo he made commemorating her late family members.
REMEMBERING KOBE AND GIANNA
The last time we heard news of Vanessa and her family was when they posed in front of a mural of Kobe and their daughter, Gianna. The family photo was taken before her older daughter Natalia’s Winter Formal.
Vanessa posted the picture featuring her and her three girls and captioned it with lyrics from the song, “Smile” by Nat King Cole. The heartbreaking post was a bitter reminder of what her family lost in a tragic helicopter accident two months ago.
TATTOOED IN HER HEART
Kobe and Gianna didn't only leave a void in Vanessa and her children’s hearts but with many who admired the NBA star. A tattoo artist recently caught Vanessa’s attention due to a photo of a leg tattoo he made commemorating her late family members.
Vanessa shared the image on her Instagram and expressed her awe at the beautiful artwork.
“So amazing. What a BEAUTIFUL tribute to my Gigi and Kobe,” she wrote. “Kobe would never want to outshine our baby girl. Thank you for honoring them together.”
DEALING WITH THE AFTERMATH OF KOBE'S DEATH
Vanessa had to deal with a lot of pain from the loss of Kobe and Gianna. And she also expressed her disappointment with the way the tragedy was handled by first responders. She learned that unauthorized photos from the crash site were taken by these responders and publicized.
Vanessa also filed a lawsuit against the company that owned the helicopter Kobe and Gianna rode which crashed. She accused the company of authorizing the aircraft to fly even when the conditions were not fit for flying.

It's a good thing Vanessa has her family to lean on while she continues to grieve for her loss and be strong for her children. She also has to be protective of them, especially with the Coronavirus threat looming.
