Different celebrities have come up with their initiative to help educate people about the spread of the virus. However, one person has taken a different route by causing people to think of the reason they need to stay home to avoid the spread of the disease.

This celebrity is none other than the "Footloose" actor Kevin Bacon and fans are highly appreciative of the initiative.

Following the lockdown and stay at home period, fans are appreciative of Kevin's challenge in educating people on the need to stay at home.

Kevin started the challenge as a means to ensure that people truly understood the necessity and benefit of staying at home to flatten the curve of the virus spread. He started the challenge by sharing those he was staying home for, which included his wife.

After which he then challenged six other people, including David Beckham, Elton John, Brandi Carlie, Kevin Hart, and Jimmy Fallon.

The challenge which has gone on to have over 20,000 tags since it started has fans talking. They are thanking Kevin for bringing the light to this situation and causing people to think honestly about those that might be affected if they have the virus.

Kevin Bacon's wife, Kyra Sedgwick, followed her husband's footsteps stating that she was staying at home for him, her kids, all the health workers who are helping to fight the disease and friends who are also involved.

Following the trend, other celebrities accepted the challenge and started tagging others to make it go viral. Most celebrities expressed that they were staying home because of their immediate family members, those who had to fight the disease in the hospitals, and those whom they truly care about.

Various celebrities across different sections have been involved in the challenge. Some of those involved include Michelle Obama, Ellen DeGeneres, Sam Smith, Vanessa Hudgens, Natalie Portman, Bebe Rhexa, Elle Fanning, and a host of other A-Listers.

Tagging and challenging each other, the trend has become a viral one that has spread to different parts of the world, and people from various continents have joined in and keep educating others on the need to stay home.

Kevin, who is making use of his six degrees initiative to help flatten the curve has commended health workers who are actively ensuring that the outbreak is curtailed and the number of cases reduced to the barest minimum.

The Six Degrees Initiative, which started as a joke, has turned into a charitable organization that helps raise funds for those who are sick and require help.

Initially, Six Degrees was a trivia game set up to help people calculate their "six degrees of Kevin Bacon." A number that shows how one actor is connected to Kevin Bacon, who has quite a prolific acting career.

This initiative is what informed Kevin's urge for people to tag six other people when partaking in the stay home challenge.

Kevin Bacon has the love and support of his wife of over three decades Kyra Sedgwick. The two who got married in 1988 are parents of two adorable children, Travis and Sosie Bacon.

The story and journey to how they began their love affair is one worthy of the big screens. After their initial meeting where the then 12-year-old Kyra felt the then 19-year-old Kevin was proud and a jerk, the two met again after ten years, and the chase began.

Not remembering their initial meeting, Kevin met Kyra again when she was 22 and started pursuing the beautiful actress he met on set. While Kevin tried all the tactics, Kyra seemed aloof to them and ignored him.

However, after a not so coincidental meeting after a massage (the one he advised her to get because she was so tense), Kevin and Kyra decided to try their hands at this relationship thing.

Six months down the line, Kevin proposed, and the rest they say is history. Although they have had their fair share of troubles in marriage, the two openly revealed that the basis of their marriage was to love each other forever, no matter the situation.

Thirty years and counting, Kevin and Kyra are going strong as ever, loving and supporting each other through the ups and downs of life and even during this coronavirus outbreak.
