Floyd Mayweather Celebrates His Son Zion's 19th Birthday With a Photo on Instagram

Floyd Mayweather recently paid tribute to his son through a birthday greeting on Instagram, that asked fans to follow the celebrant's social media account.

Zion Mayweather recently turned 19 years old and had a special greeting on his father's Instagram account.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZION

The floxing champion took to his social media a simple tribute for his son, which included a photo of the teen that played with lighting and shadows. The post had the caption:

"Everyone FOLLOW & wish my son, @zion_mayweather A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

As requested, several of the athlete's followers greeted his son with well wishes on his special day. However, there were also those who had harsh words to say, following the recent news about his ex.

Mayweather shared Zion with his late ex-girlfriend Josie Harris, along with their two other children, Koraun and Jirah.

Mayweather and Harris separated in 2010, after fifteen years together, and several accusations of domestic abuse.

Recently, Harris' friend revealed that she was writing a book that exposed the physical violence she experienced during her relationship with Mayweather.

The account explicitly told a horrifying near-death experience the mother-of-three had because of the athlete's anger taken out on her, while their kids watched in fear.

A few weeks ago, Harris was found unresponsive inside her car by her house in California. She was amid a $20 million lawsuit case going on against her former partner.

It comes as no surprise that people are outraged by the news that came about and took to Mayweather's Instagram their criticism, through the comments section of his posts, including the one of his son's.

A TRIBUTE TO JOSIE

Since Harris' death, Mayweather has been posting several photos together with his former partner, with simple captions such as "My Angel," "My Sweetheart," and "My Sunshine."

Mayweather switched off the option for comments to be allowed on the photos that had to do with Harris, perhaps not welcome negative words.

Mayweather and Harris separated in 2010, after fifteen years together, and several accusations of domestic abuse.

The authorities are still investigating the case as the cause of death has yet to be released. However, no foul play was found on the scene.
