Colton Underwood Has Coronavirus — Meet His Girlfriend with Whom He Briefly Split Last Year
Former “The Bachelor” star, Colton Underwood, is currently recovering from coronavirus, and his girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, has been taking care of him with the support of her family.
Colton Underwood is one of the few celebrities that have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic. Luckily for him, he’s been fighting the respiratory disease with the support of his lovely girlfriend.

COLTON’S DIAGNOSIS
He first shared the news of his positive diagnosis on March 20, urging young adults to take the coronavirus seriously and do their part by staying at home. The former Raiders tight end said in a video on Instagram:
“I’m 28, I consider myself pretty healthy, I work out regularly, I eat healthily, and I became symptomatic a few days ago."
Despite his good condition, he tested positive for Covid-19, which is why Colton has been in quarantine for the past two weeks at his girlfriend’s home in California.
Cassie Randolph, whom Colton met during his season of “The Bachelor,” had been stung by a stingray only three days before Colton tested positive for the virus.
Colton said he’s grateful to Cassie’s family for taking care of him, considering they didn’t start with the right foot.
At the time, Colton said they took Cassie’s accident as a message from “mother nature” to stay inside and follow through with self-isolation without taking “quick trips” to the beach as they did.
NURSE CASSIE
Cassie has been sharing updates on Colton’s recovery process while he sits on the third floor of her family’s home in Huntington Beach.
The model and actress shared with her Instagram followers that her entire family is in quarantine since they were in contact with Colton until the day that he got his results back.
However, Cassie says no one else has shown symptoms at the moment and revealed she has been taking care of Colton by bringing him meals while using gloves and a mask. She wrote on her Instagram stories:
“I’m taking care of him by bringing him anything he needs (food, medicine, water, blankets, games), and then I disinfect myself every time I leave him."
Talking to US Weekly, Colton said he’s grateful to Cassie’s family for taking care of him, considering they didn’t start with the right foot.
CASSIE & COLTON’S LOVE STORY
Cassie Randolph is a model and actress, but she also has a degree in communication sciences and disorders from Biola University.
She started her career in the entertainment industry in 2016, when she joined the web series “Young Once.” And two years later, she was cast on season 23 of “The Bachelor,” starring Colton Underwood.
Colton had been a contestant on season 14 of “The Bachelorette,” and also took part on the spin-off “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Filming for “The Bachelor” took place between throughout fall 2018 and the season aired in March 2019.
Colton and Cassie hit it off from the moment they met on the reality show. However, as the show dictates, Colton had to see other girls at the same time he was getting to meet Cassie.
Still, on their one-on-one dates, the pair shared deep conversations and even cuddled in bed, with Colton confessing to Cassie at one point in the competition that he was “crazy about her.”
THE FAMILY FACTOR
Everything was going well for the pair until Colton met Cassie’s family, and her father said he was skeptical about the situation and refused to give Colton his blessing to ask for Cassie’s hand.
The resistance from Cassie’s father made her realize she had doubts about her feelings for Colton, and in a turn of events, she decided to leave the show, breaking Colton’s heart in the process.
However, Colton was not ready to give up on Cassie. So, he broke up with the other two finalists of the show and went after Cassie to tell her she was the one, and they didn’t have to get engaged.
After the cameras stopped rolling, Colton moved to Los Angeles to be near Cassie, and although they have been together for a year now, they’re still not living together and are taking things slow.
A SHORT PAUSE
Although things seem to have gone smoothly for the couple for a year now, Colton recently revealed in his memoir book, “The First Time,” that he and Cassie broke up momentarily in August 2019.

Talking to People Colton said that it was a mutual decision they took after realizing they weren’t communicating that well and had been leaving a lot of things to build up.
“I was like, I feel like we need to figure this out, and to do that, we need space. She agreed,” Colton explained.
However, it took only two days for the young couple to realize their mistake and get back together. Still, Colton says the experience “forced them” to have more conversations and move on, as he continued:
“Now, we know the flags to look for [...] We’re trying to be more transparent and honest and really trust each other.”
As for their plans for the future, Colton said they had a lot of plans, and he doesn’t want his life without Cassie. “Our relationship hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been worth it,” he concluded.
