Before the much-anticipated episode was released, the official Twitter account of CBS show, NCIS, shared an intriguing picture of two characters, Jimmy Palmer and Kasie Hines, sitting across each other at a diner table.

Both characters were holding two halves of a donut, seemingly in an exciting conversation. The caption read,

"Breakfast gone wrong. Jimmy and Kasie find themselves in a dangerous diner situation in tonight's all-new #NCIS."

Viewers had been pleasantly surprised by the turn of events after seeing the release, and they found it riveting.

What the teaser picture had depicted as an uneventful dining experience turned out to be a stimulating hostage situation, which ultimately led to Palmer acting a bit out of character.

A viewer tweeted, "Never thought I'd see Palmer assault a criminal like that. Palmer keeps growing. Kudos to @BrianDietzen #NCIS."

The episode began with four squabbling criminals, whose number quickly dwindled to three after their leader shot their loose-lipped getaway driver.

Sequentially, what would have been a perfectly executed robbery turned into a hostage situation after the criminals frantically ducked into a diner for safety — where Kasie and Jimmy happened to be.

The situation quickly grew awry and even had Kassie and Jimmy fishing in a dying criminal's intestines.

Fans tweeted their appreciation for the supportive moment that transpired between Hines and Palmer and noted that they had more screen time together.

Palmer, played by actor Brian Dietzen, ended up roughhousing a criminal just before the cavalry came. Episode 19, titled "Blarney," left many viewers in undeniable thirst and anticipation, much more than the previous chapter.

The previous episode curiously featured an officer who turned out to be an internet fraudster and wound up dead in a lake with nothing but a long list of suspects and more surprises.

"Blarney" ended with two criminals in custody, and Palmer and Kasie, having a drink with Gibbs and Vance after a long day.
