Closer Weekly: John Mellencamp Is Dating Someone New Following His Split from Meg Ryan

Five months ago, John Mellencamp and Meg Ryan called off their engagement. Now a source has alleged that Mellencamp has moved on to dating someone else.

Mellencamp, 68, and Ryan, 58, had been together for nearly eight years before getting engaged and then calling it off in October 2019. A source who spoke to “Closer Weekly” on Wednesday claimed the rock ‘n roll star “has finally moved on.”

The insider alleged Mellencamp has “found love again” with beauty expert Nurse Jamie Sherrill. The informant shared how the pair had been together for around a month.

"It’s pretty serious"

The source further noted: “From what I know, it’s pretty serious.” Even though the couple has only been seeing each other for a month, Sherrill has already introduced Mellencamp to “her triplets.”

Things are so serious between the two that they’re even in quarantine together amid the COVID-19 outbreak. The insider said they were staying together at his place in Bloomington, Indiana.

Spotted together in Indiana

It’s apparently quite close to where Sherrill’s family lives. The nurse allegedly attended Mellencamp’s mother’s funeral in Indiana too.

In February, the new couple was allegedly seen at Evil by the Needle tattoo parlor in Bloomington. The tattoo artist took to Facebook where he shared: “Today I tattooed Jamie sue sherrill and she brought John Mellencamp with her for support.”

Ryan doesn’t regret end or relationship

At the time, the artist had included a photo of Mellencamp. Another source who spoke to “Us Weekly” claimed that Ryan had “no regrets” about calling off their wedding because she “had enough.”

Ups and downs of Meg & John’s relationship

The “When Harry Met Sally...” actress first began dating the “Jack and Diane” singer in 2011. The “Sleepless in Seattle” actress ended up leaving Mellencamp in 2014 before they got back together the same year.

The proposal

In 2015, the couple ended things again. However two years later, in 2017, they decided to try again and the singer proposed.

New relationship not confirmed

So far, neither Mellencamp nor Sherrill have denied or admitted that they’re in a relationship. The singer has been promoting his documentary “It’s About You," while the nurse is posting about her profession on Instagram.
