Khaled’s efforts were reportedly inspired by a friend’s brother who works at a Brooklyn hospital. It is also in response to the alarming rate of Coronavirus cases in New York and Florida. Khaled’s family lives in Miami.

As of March 31, New York recorded 66,400 confirmed cases of COVID-19 while Florida had 6,300 cases. The countrywide total is expected to spike in the coming weeks prompting the government to extend social distancing measures until April 30.

Apart from helping his community, Khaled has been doing his part self-isolating at home. He recently revealed that after taking a break from the gym, he was back working out and manages to do so twice a day.

Khaled admitted his workouts have been lifting his spirits. He also added that he often engages in Zoom video conferencing and Netflix binges during his downtime.

Khaled has also been bonding with his children. A photo he shared last month revealed him with 3-year-old Asahd and 2-month-old Aalam. The proud father posed with his two boys inside their home.

In a more recent post, he shared a clip of a football game between him and Asahd on their lawn. It's evident time at home is well spent by Khaled with his family.
