Angela Simmons of ’Growing Up Hip Hop’ Asks Fans to Pray for Single Parents in a Pic with Her Son

'Growing Up Hip Hop' star, Angela Simmons, opened up about her struggle with motherhood as she encouraged her followers to pray for single mothers.

Many parents around the world are struggling to cope with the duties of parenthood while self-isolating amid the coronavirus outbreak. Sharing her challenge as a single mother, Angela Simmons admitted:

"Mom is tired!!! Pray for single parents!! Motherhood on a trillion. Day by day..."

Attached to the very personal admission, Angela shared a rare make-up free selfie of herself and her son, Sutton Tennyson Jr. The two were pictured sitting in a car together.

While her three-year-old looked bright-eyed and showed off an adorable smile, Angela gave a stoic expression to the camera as she had her uncombed hair wrapped in a bandana. Fellow reality star and mother of two, Toya Johnson, sent her some words of encouragement.

Angela, and her late fiancé, Sutton Tennyson, welcomed their son, whom she called "SJ" in 2016. After a brief engagement, the couple split in 2017.

While they were broken up, Sutton was tragically murdered in November 2018. According to PEOPLE, the Atlantic Police department confirmed that he died after being shot multiple times in his garage.

At the time of Sutton's death, their son was only two-years-old. Angela shared an emotional tribute to her ex-fiancé and thanked him for leaving behind their son and called "SJ," her "greatest gift."

She admitted that she was hurting and numb, and couldn't believe that she'd have to say rest in peace to him. She ended her post, saying, "I promise to hold SJ down in every way, I promise."

During a recent episode of "Growing Up Hip Hop" she broke down after revealing to life coach Chenoa Maxwell that her son asked if his father was alive, she explained:

"He's a happy kid and that whole day he was just kind of mopey and sad. And so I talked to him and I told him, 'I got you. You're okay. You're good.'"

Since her split from Sutton, Angela has attempted to date again without any luck. However, she has landed herself in a love triangle between her co-stars Romeo and Bow Wow.

It is reported, Angela confirmed that she is dating, and while she is trying to avoid rekindling things with her former love interests, she admitted to being open to dating outside of her race.
