Nash opened up about how she tried to search for salvation by joining a church group. She had thought finding her place in the women's group at her local church would help deliver from the troubles that she was experiencing, and improve her mental health and spirituality.
The "Claws" star revealed that she had been running away from pain for a long while, and she hoped the group would help her grow her faith and become a woman of God. She said:
"I don't know what was happening, and I was just like, 'Well, are we going to start growing?"
The actress admitted that she had gotten irked by the attitude the women had, saying that all they wanted to do was talk about recipes and complain about work.
Early in 2020, the "Clean House" alum finalized her divorce from her second husband, Jay Tucker. The actress has had her fair share of heartbreak and tragedy and needed a support group that would center healing on her pain.
At a young age, Niecy's mother witnessed her mother getting shot by her boyfriend. The woman survived, but almost ten years later, Nash's younger brother died from a gunshot at his high school.
The "Reno 911!" star opened up some more, in a powerful speech about "pain," after she received an Essence Black Women in Hollywood Vanguard Award.
