Jacky Clark Chisholm Is 71 Years Old and a Proud Mom of Three Children
Jacky Clark Chisholm is one of the Clark Sisters that revolutionized mainstream gospel singing. Now at 71 years old, she is a proud mother of three children and has no intention of slowing down.
The firstborn daughter of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, Jacky Clark Chisholm, and her sisters went on to create what would be the award-winning group focused on gospel songs, "The Clark Sisters."
The oldest of the five girls, Jacky, was often referred to as the sister with a sweet and calm voice. Born in 1948, Jacky has established herself not only as a singer but among other things, as a nurse, an evangelist, and a proud mother of three children.

JACKY'S PERSONAL LIFE
Jacky got married to Glynn Chisholm in May of 1979. The couple was married up until his death in November of 2019.
Their marriage was blessed with three children: Aaron, Michael, and Angelyn. The family has, over the years, kept their lives away from the public eye, and has shown continuous love and support for one another through their social media pages.
While Aaron is happily married and content with staying away from the public eye, Angelyn has decided to follow her mother's path. She is a singer and songwriter who never fails to appreciate her family for their love and support.
Little is known of her other son Michael; but to catch the latest things she's been up to, one can keep up with Jacky via her active social media accounts.
BESIDES SINGING
While Jacky might be best known for her singing career, she is more than just the lady with a voice. While juggling a singing career, Jacky was able to get a nursing degree that allowed her to become an instructor for the American Red Cross society.
Following the nursing degree, Jacky went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Family Life Education. Passionate about the health of those around her and the world at large, Jacky hosted her radio show that focused on wellness and health in 2003.
An all-rounder, Jacky has not only sang, but has also acted in both musical and onscreen plays that portray the values she holds dear. At a time, she ventured into commercials and was relatively successful.
Besides all these, Jacky is also a writer, with some books to her name. Jacky's writie-ups aim to tell her personal experience as related to issues other people might be facing.
Most significantly, the heart of the beautiful Jacky lies in philanthropy and evangelism. During one of her philanthropic exploits, she worked together with a children's hospital dedicated to helping children with cancer have a relatively more comfortable life.
A licensed evangelist, Jacky is also about spreading the gospel and letting people know that the love of God is real and available to all.
Affiliated with the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ, Detroit, Michigan, she has ministered in some parts of Africa and served as the director of the Youth Choir for the National Church of God in Christ.
THE CLARK SISTERS
Jacky, and her sisters: Denise, Elbernita, Dorinda, and Karen were born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. The work of their mother greatly influenced the girls, and this prompted them to start their singing group comprising her and her four sisters. Their mother managed and directed the group.
The legendary Clark Sisters were responsible for ushering in a new wave of contemporary music. From an early age, the girls had been involved with the choir, and soon, they began singing the songs their mother wrote.
Since 1973 when they performed their first song, "Jesus Has a lot to give," the girls have grown and gone on to expand their horizon, with some of them going on to have solo careers and albums at some point.
As a group, the Clark Sisters were the recipient of numerous nominations and winners of various awards. Some of the awards include Best Traditional Gospel Album, Best Gospel Performance, and Best Gospel Song.

A new biopic detailing the lives of the women who made up the group is set to be premiered soon. The movie features Aunjanue Ellis as Mattie Clark, (Mattie Moss Clark), Christina Bell as Twinkie, Shelea Fraizer as Dorinda and Angela Birchett as Jacky.
An interesting twist is that Kierra Sheard, who is a gospel recording artist, gets to play her mother Karen Clark in the biopic.
With Mary J Blige and Queen Latifah as part of the producers, the main producer Holly Carter explained that she wants the movie to speak of love and family during Easter.
