While the actor is a proud father to his two kids, he also doubles as a loving brother who dots on his little sisters.
In a previous interview, Foxx opened up about what it was like to be an older brother to DeOndra Dixon, who was born with Down Syndrome. He expressed his love for her while adding:
"There is nothing in the way of them loving you, and there is nothing in the way of them being upset with you either."
The doting older brother described Dixon as someone that has a special light around her. He explained that she taught him how to live genuinely.
Jamie also explained that while it was easy to get caught up with his Hollywood Life, she always brought him back to realize the essential things in life.
DeOndra danced with Foxx on the Grammys stage and also appeared in the video of "Blame It On The Alcohol."
DeOndra has lived with Foxx since she graduated from high school in 2002. The 36-year-old currently works as a global ambassador for the "Global Down Syndrome Foundation."
Although Foxx invited other members of his family to live with him, he explained that he had been more concerned about ensuring DeOndra had a place to stay. He further said:
"I didn't know what she was going to have to do as far as fending for herself and becoming an adult."
Jamie also described living with his family as an exciting experience. In his words, it meant non stop laughter for each of them.
Despite her condition, Dixon has continued to flourish while living with her brother. She has danced with him on the Grammys stage and has also appeared in the video of the song, "Blame It On The Alcohol."
Asides DeOndra, Foxx has another sister, Diedre, whom he loves just as much. The 52-year-old actor might enjoy his job a lot, but he clearly enjoys spending time with his family as well.
