Maksim Chmerkovskiy & Peta Murgatroyd Opened up about Challenges of Being Home Amid COVID-19 Quarantine

In a recent interview, Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd got candid about the parenting struggles they're facing in the midst of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Alongside their 3-year-old son, Shai, Maksim and Peta showed fans firsthand what isolating with a little child 24/7 is like in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on April 16.

All through the clip, baby Shai can be seen running back and forth from the camera. He sings, gives his famous parents balloons, and more.

HARD SOMETIMES

"We are good. We are taking it day by day and trying to find all the amazing positives out of this experience, but it's hard," Peta explained. "I gotta say. It's been difficult sometimes."

Fortunately, the "Dancing With the Stars" pros have still figured out how to remain dynamic while engaging with their fans simultaneously. They've been facilitating virtual workouts by means of Instagram Live every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

During the interview, Maksim also discussed how he and his wife are attempting to discover one-on-one time without the assistance of a sitter.

DOING THEIR BEST

"We're trying. We're doing our best, everybody's figuring it out," Maksim shared. "We rely so much on outside help, it's crazy, so this is a good time for people to reconnect as families and figure this out."

Maksim and Peta began dating in 2012. Their child Shai was born in January 2017, and after six months, the couple tied the knot in Long Island, New York.

In April 2019, Maksim and Peta attended the wedding of Maksim's brother Val and Jenna Johnson.

READY FOR ANOTHER BABY

Last March, Maksim disclosed to US Weekly that when his wife said her previous pregnancy was a boy, he had this glad response like, "Thank God."

However, following that, he said that he was like, "OK, now I'm ready for a girl." Maksim added that he believes it's an extraordinary thing. Meanwhile, Peta told the outlet in 2009 that she was prepared for another baby in their family as well.

In April 2019, Maksim and Peta attended the wedding of Maksim's brother Val and Jenna Johnson. The couple was with Shai at the time.

Val and Jenna are also "Dancing With the Stars" pros like Maksim and Peta. They had an intimate ceremony at the Terranea Resort in Southern California, together with loved ones.

The occasion set-up had a chuppah loaded up with Tibet roses, ranunculus, astilbe, lisianthus, garden roses, and peonies, where they exchanged vows beneath.

The reception was adorned with many white flowers hanging from the ceiling and had a gold monogram dance floor, where the love birds danced to "La Vie en Rose."
