Sabrina & Idirs Elba Celebrate 1st Anniversary & Share Private Footage from Their Wedding
Sabrina Elba shared unseen footage of her wedding ceremony with actor Idris Elba in celebration of their first wedding anniversary.
Sabrina took to Instagram to share footage from her wedding day in April 2019 when she got married to popular actor, Idris Elba. The clip featured her walking down the aisle with her mother by her side. Her caption read:
“Words can’t describe what I felt in this moment. Walking down the aisle and seeing the man of my dreams, to make a bond that lasts forever.”

She described Idris as her best friend, adding that he changed her life and her spirit. She also thanked him for his love and concluded the lengthy love message with an affirmation of her love for him and wished him a happy anniversary.
In the footage, the model looked ethereal in her long white wedding dress and a train that trailed behind her perfectly.
The guests rose to applaud as she walked to the altar, captured by her angelic beauty. As she stepped on the altar, the lovebirds gazed into each other’s eyes lovingly, both wearing bright and happy smiles.
Elba first confirmed his relationship with the model in an interview with Refinery29 while promoting his 2017 film titled “The Mountain Between Us.” He revealed that they met at a bar during the production of the movie, which occurred in late 2016.
The actor was, however, not blind to the irony of finding his soulmate in real life while filming a story that also depicted the meaning of finding love. He said:
“Falling in love while making a movie about falling in love is pretty special. It definitely got noticed because I try to keep my personal life different.”
Their love story hit another milestone when the “Pacific Rim” star dropped to one knee and asked Sabrina to be his wife. Before she met the big shot actor and said, “I do,” Sabrina was already a star by herself.
In 2014, the model was awarded the title of “Miss Vancouver,” and was already a press staple. She had also been featured in Harrods Magazine, and British Vogue spreads.
In March, the “Cats” actor revealed that he tested positive for the novel coronavirus, and rather than stay away from him, the former Miss Vancouver stood by her husband’s side and insisted on taking care of him.
The Elbas sure have come a long way from the bar in Vancouver and the magical Moroccan wedding to a beautiful life together.
