RHOC Star Kara Keough's Father Matt Dies Just Days after She Lost Her Newborn Son

Weeks after losing her newborn baby, “Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC)” star Kara Keough has been dealt with another hard blow. The reality star recently lost her father.

Over the weekend, Kara took to her Instagram account to share that her father had passed away. In a post alongside some photos and videos featuring Matt Keough, 64, the reality star wrote a touching caption.

Speaking to her late father, the star wrote: “Daddy, please take care of my son.” Kara continued with instructions to her father stating: “Teach him the circle changeup and how to find forever friends.”

GRANDPA DUTY IN HEAVEN

The RHOC star ended her post by informing her father: “You’re on grandpa duty in heaven now.” Kara tragically lost her newborn son, McCoy Casey Bosworth, during childbirth a few weeks ago.

She shared the heartbreaking news on her Instagram account revealing that his death occurred on April 6, 2020. Kara explained how he’d passed on writing: "During the course of his birth, he experienced shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord.”

WHO WAS MATT KEOUGH

The baby boy was born at 3:10 a.m. He weighed in at 11 pounds and 4 ounces, according to his mother’s social media post.

Matt was a former player for the Oakland Athletics. The former major league baseball (MLB) star’s cause of death hasn’t been announced yet.

The collage of throwback photos of Kara’s father included some images from her wedding to national football league (NFL) star, Kyle Bosworth. Other pictures showed Matt enjoying his grandfather's duties with his granddaughter Decker Kate Bosworth, 4.

EX-WIFE PAYS TRIBUTE

Matt’s ex-wife, Jeana Keough, also paid tribute to him via her Instagram account. She uploaded a throwback picture of him in his sports uniform but didn’t include a caption for the post.

CO-STARS HONOR MATT’S DEATH

Jeana formerly featured on RHOC but she’s now a successful real estate agent. Some of her former RHOC co-stars took to the comments section to mourn her ex-husband’s death.

Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, and Jo De La Rosa all paid tribute to Matt.
