Wife of 32-Year-Old COVID-19 Victim Shares Note He Wrote to Their Family before Dying
Katie Coelho took to Facebook to share the heartbreaking note of her husband, Jonathan, who had been diagnosed with COVID-19 before he passed away.
Jonathan, 32, went into cardiac arrest and passed away recently. The nurse disclosed to Katie that she has no clue what happened since her husband had been doing significantly better in the last few days.
After he died, Katie was able to sit with him in the ICU and cried. She told him how much she and their children loved him.
JONATHAN'S NOTE
When Jonathan's phone was returned to her, she turned it on, and there was a note up written by her husband the day before he was intubated.
"I love you guys with all my heart and you've given me the best life I could have ever asked for," Jonathan wrote. "I am so lucky it makes me so proud to be your husband and the father to Braedyn and penny."
"Katie you are the most beautiful caring nurturing person I've ever met.....you are truly one of a kind," he added, "make sure you live life with happiness and that same passion that made me fall in love with you."
STOLEN FROM THEM
In her post, Katie said that the agony they are feeling is indefinable. She added that their "everything" was taken from them.
Jonathan had been diagnosed with novel coronavirus disease, as reported by CT. According to Katie, her husband's symptoms began the weekend before with a migraine, lethargy, and the loss of taste and smell.
Katie said her husband was terrified and that he lived his worst fear.
WORST FEELING
Jonathan then started having awful coughing attacks. Katie said that she remembers her husband saying it was the worst he had ever felt in his life.
According to Katie, Jonathan went to Danbury Hospital after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 because he could no longer fight at home all alone.
Katie said her husband was terrified and that he lived his worst fear, and he was distant from everyone else when he did it.
On the night of April 21, Katie had a discussion with Jonathan's doctor that left her hopeful. Then hours later, she got a call from the hospital, informing her that Jonathan was gone.
