With the novel coronavirus still out there, several million people have had to stay home. However, not everyone appears to be staying compliant with lockdown orders. Madonna appears to have joined that train.

Last week, Madonna attended the birthday party of Steve Klein, a famous filmmaker, and photographer. While she has deleted posts of the event from her social media account, several news sources were able to pick some footage in time.

In the resealed videos, the pop icon joined several others at an undisclosed venue, to celebrate Steve. The event was also available for people online via a live stream. The 61-year-old singer even hugged Steve and dubbed the filmmaker’s cake a "COVID Cake."

Reports confirmed that there were no less than eight people at the event. This could be a violation of public health recommendations.

The party came just two days after Madonna announced on social media that she had tested positive for coronavirus antibodies. At the time, she said:

There have been a lot of discussions on what the presence of antibodies could mean at this time. While some believe it’s still an indication of contagion, others claim that it’s not a big deal. Still, people don’t know about the virus up till now. So, the recommendation is still to stay indoors.

Josh further acknowledged that they were irresponsible and went on to apologize for it.

Madonna isn’t the only celebrity that has flouted lockdown recommendations. Last month, John Brolin, the actor famous for playing Thanos in the Avengers movies, got some heat too.

The actor, his wife, Kathryn Boyd, and their daughter, Westlyn, faced sharp criticism for visiting his father. In his apology, he explained:

“It's hard to be honest sometimes, and say, 'maybe I screwed up.' And I knew that that was in the air... but the responses brought me back to my own truth.”

He confirmed that his father lived next door, and they simply wanted to check up on him and his wife. The family had also initially planned not to come near anyone. Sadly, the plan was “broken,” and it failed.

Josh further acknowledged that they were irresponsible and went on to apologize for it. The actor also used the time to point out the seriousness of the pandemic and the need for people to stay home and stay safe.
