In the hilarious scene, Bacon and Sedgwick step into the shoes of real-life couple Chris and Benjamin, who had a "dumb fight" while sharing a pint of ice cream.
Before the longtime loves took the virtual stage, Kimmel said, "You know, couples have been cooped up for almost two months now and inevitably that leads to some pretty dumb fights."

MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP
Kimmel added that they thought those dumb fights would be fun if reenacted by real Hollywood stars. Participating from their home, Bacon and Sedgwick played out the scene from their table.
Kicking things off, Bacon entered the frame holding two bowls of ice cream. The actor then served one to his wife.
Sedgwick assumed that he had dug into his pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream and not her pint of cookies and crème. She asked the actor how's the mint chocolate chip.
LAUNCHING THE ACTRESS INTO A RAGE
To which Bacon replied that he doesn't know and that he's having cookies and crème. That propelled Sedgwick into a fury.
"You're having cookies and crème too?" she asked, adding, "Well, you know how much I love cookies and crème."
Bacon fired back, saying perhaps somebody ought to do their own shopping next time.
ENDED IN TEARS
Bacon told her that he knows how much she enjoys cookies and crème since they have been together for 8½ years. Sedgwick then reminded the actor that he had his own pint in the freezer.
Bacon got angrier. He told his wife she didn't need to eat the mint chocolate chip ice cream. That didn't sit well with the actress.
Sedgwick accused him of hogging all the ice cream. Bacon fired back, saying perhaps somebody ought to do their own shopping next time. At that point, he hurled the ice cream from his bowl into Sedgwick's. And their battle finished in tears.
Earlier in the episode, the couple revealed to Kimmel that they've never spent this much time together while staying at home in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic though they've been married for a long time.
Bacon said that they regularly discussed their crazy lives. He added that they live out of suitcases, and for him, that is the thing that makes the marriage extraordinary.
During the outbreak, Bacon and Sedgwick, who have been married since 1988, have also been using their time giving back, as reported by PEOPLE.
Their charity, SixDegrees.org, is taking donated funds. They are using the money to help local businesses and feed frontline workers.
Last March, Fox 29 reported that Bacon's #IStayHomeFor social media campaign has turned into a web sensation as he calls on everybody to stay home amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
