Andrew Cuomo Takes COVID-19 Test on Air and Encourages People to Do It If They Can
Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York shows people that COVID-19 testing is easy as he gets tested on air during a press briefing.
Andrew Cuomo, yesterday, posted a video on his twitter page to show the masses that testing for COVID-19 is "quick, easy and painless."

Cuomo took the COVID-19 test on Sunday, during his weekly press briefing, to urge New Yorkers who have symptoms of the virus to get tested.
According to ET Online, New York conducts 40,000 COVID-19 tests per day and has 700 testing centers, giving the citizens no excuse for not getting tested, but despite the availability and reach of testing centers, not enough New York citizens are coming out to get tested.
The governor explained during the press briefing that even though facilities are open throughout the state, and the testing capacity has increased, people are reluctant to get tested.
The unwillingness of people to get tested worries the governor to no end. He is confused as to why more people are not making use of the available facilities, even when showing symptoms.
He reassures them, during the press briefing, by inviting a doctor to take his samples. He did not flinch during the swift procedure and asked a surprised, "that's it?", at the end of the test.
His televised experience proves testing wastes no time and is painless, and on his twitter, he tells them that "if [he] has the time, then [they] do too." CBS New York noted that there are 139 deaths, but it is a reasonable figure given the propensity of the pandemic.
Andrew Cuomo said some parts of New York, like the Capital Region and Western New York, would be ready to reopen as soon as there are more testing and tracing staff.
He urged people to take extra care of their mental health as he understands the pressure, anxiety, and trauma the pandemic has brought to families.
As reported by ET Online, Governor Cuomo was on his brother's CNN show, Cuomo Prime Time, last Monday, to discuss plans to reopen some parts of New York, the reactions of Americans and the uncertainties of the Corona Virus.
The Cuomo brothers' relationship has been strained following the rise of pandemics and the press's intense scrutiny. Still, they kept the interview professional, and it was evident, towards the end of the show, that they cared for each other.
