Whoopi Goldberg Cuts off Meghan McCain Amid Discussion over COVID-19 Bill in 'The View'
Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain are likely the two hosts on "The View" who argue the most. Earlier this week, the pair got into it again.
This week, Whoopi and Meghan engaged in a dialogue over the novel coronavirus and people's reactions. In the latest episode of "The View," all cast members spoke on the continued stay-at-home orders and the rampant protests.
Joy Behar, another panelist, eventually brought up a new $3 trillion relief package, which the Democrat Party proposed recently.

As she explained, the package will help save lives and keep people employed. However, while the bill has passed the House, the Republican-controlled Senate will most likely rule against it.
Sunny Hostin, the fourth host, gave her views as well. She expressed her disappointment in Republicans for pushing the bill aside. However, Meghan was of a different opinion. She said:
"That is just ridiculous. It's a Democrat wish list... and it's ridiculous. How are we gonna tax people if there's no economy?"
Before she could finish her sentence, however, Whoopi cut her off for a commercial break. When the show returned, Whoopi took the discussion away from the relief package to something else.
Meghan is the youngest of the hosts on "The View," and she's the only conservative. Her father, the late Senator John McCain, was the Republican nominee for the White House in 2008.
Earlier this year, the pair got into another bit of an argument while discussing the President's impeachment trial.
As stated earlier, Whoopi and Meghan have had their fair share of battles. Earlier this year, the pair got into another bit of an argument while discussing the President's impeachment trial.
At the time, they had been talking about how the trial ended. The exchange soon evolved into an argument about age, with Whoopi pointing out that she's almost twice as old as Meghan. Replying, Meghan said:
"That's very dismissive. I don't understand what my age has to do with my political perspective right now."

Of course, this isn't to say that both co-hosts haven't had their fair share of rifts with others. Just earlier this month, Whoopi responded to critics who pointed out that she was wearing the same jacket for too long.
The nature of "The View" is what brings such a vibe around the show and its co-hosts. Cast members speak on a wide variety of topics, ranging from politics even to pop culture. With everyone giving their hot takes, things can get spicy at times.
Paula Faris, a former co-host, pointed that out in her recent memoir. She explained that part of the reasons she chose to leave the show was an evident disconnect with her other co-hosts.
In the book, Paula maintains that she still loves every one of her former co-hosts. However, she found it difficult to maintain objectivity across the show's topics. Seeing no other way out, she left.
