Daily Mail: WWE Star Shad Gaspard's Tragic Final Moments after Saving His Son from Drowning
The world of combat sports recently suffered a loss after WWE alum Shad Gaspard lost his life in his attempt to save his son from drowning.
According to DailyMail, Shad Gaspard, and his son, Aryeh were swept off by strong waves at the Venice beach.

The star dad desperately fought to save his son's life and eventually threw the 10-year-old to a lifeguard.
Other WWE stars like Tyrus, Dave Bautista, JTG, and Triple H, among others, also shared their condolences.
However, Gaspard couldn't be saved as the rip current already swept him from view by the time the lifeguard returned. Los Angeles' Lifeguard Services section chief, Kenichi Haskett told the publication:
"Aryeh was about '25-35 yards out when the lifeguard rescued him, This all happened in just a moment's notice."
Gaspard's widow, Siliana Gaspard, took to her Instagram page, days later, where she shared a tribute to her spouse with heart-tugging words. She wrote in her post:
"Aryeh, myself and the Gaspard and Chittick families would like to take this time to thank everyone for their prayers and support…"
CNN reports that after the fatal incident, the WWE champion's body went missing. On Instagram, his wife put out a now-removed post about the missing celebrity while urging the public to help in searching for him. Shad's wife shared an appreciation post to rescuers, who fought to save her spouse and son.
The unfortunate incident occurred a few days after authorities in Los Angeles reopened Beaches in the county following a big break due to the novel Coronavirus.
NY Times reports that the public figure's body was found two days after the currents swept him away. A police officer was informed about a body that was washed up on the shore. The body was later identified as Gaspard's.
Following the announcement of Shad's tragic passing, BBC shares that several WWE stars and alums took to their various social media accounts to share their grief.
Dwayne Johnson, known as "The Rock," took to Instagram, where he shared a photo of himself and Gaspard while captioning it with his condolences.
Other WWE stars like Tyrus, Dave Bautista, JTG, and Triple H, among others, also shared their condolences. People shared that Shad's friends and family members gathered at Venice Beach and threw a befitting memorial last Friday.
WWE star Bryan Alvarez posted details of the event on Twitter, making it known that "over 500 people" were present. A CNN report shares that Shad Gaspard is famously known for his wrestling team, Cryme Tyme, which includes JTG.
Shad, 39, left WWE in 2010 and opted for a casting career. He took roles in movies like "The Last Sharknado: It's About Time," and Think Like A Man Too."
