Spencer Lofranco, Star of 'Gotti' and 'Jamesy Boy,' Dies at 33

He was handsome, talented, and on the brink of a comeback — but now, Spencer Lofranco's life has been tragically cut short, leaving behind more questions than answers.

The Canadian actor — best known for his intense turns in "Jamesy Boy" and "Gotti" died suddenly on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at just 33 years old.

While fans reel in disbelief, officials in British Columbia have launched an active investigation into the cause of his untimely death, which remains undetermined.

Adding to the haunting silence, Spencer's brother, Santino Lofranco, confirmed the devastating news via an emotional Instagram post — only to later make his account private, scrubbing the heartfelt tribute from public view.

Their father, Rocco Lofranco, a prominent personal injury attorney in Toronto, has yet to make a statement. TMZ reported it had reached out to the elder Lofranco, but received no response.

The Actor Who Defied His Father's Dreams

Spencer's path to stardom didn't follow the route his family had imagined. In a revealing 2014 interview with Interview magazine, Spencer admitted that, despite his father's hopes that he'd become a hockey player or a lawyer, he felt drawn to the spotlight.

"I was always [sic] funny guy, always trying to make people laugh and always the center of attention," he recalled. "I guess I was being an actor my whole life." He began taking acting seriously at the age of 17, following a year-long conservatory program at the New York Film Academy.

Spencer's breakout performance in "Jamesy Boy: (2014) established him as one to watch. Roles quickly followed: "At Middleton" (2013), "Unbroken" (2014), "Home" (2015), and finally "Gotti" (2018), where he shared the screen with John Travolta and Kelly Preston.

Now, as tributes pour in and investigators dig deeper, fans are left to mourn a life that ended far too soon.
