Jorge Nava lost over 125 pounds of weight, surprising fans. The "90 Day Fiancé" Alum was said to have stayed fit while in prison.
Nava developed a passion for fitness while admitted to the Arizona Department of Corrections in 2018, as reported by PEOPLE. Nava, who used to weigh 275 pounds, lost a considerable amount of weight, based on an updated photo revealed by the facility.
The reality star was arrested for possession of high-grade marijuana in his car two years ago. He is currently serving his jail sentence of two years and a half.
"We push ourselves to the limit pretty much. I had a really bad diet when I was out in the free world."
A military-based exercise with intense jogging, which starts at 4 a.m., was a daily routine for Nava. Having no access to sugary drinks and fast food also helped him commit to a healthier journey.
STAYING STRONG AND POSITIVE
As he is set to be released from prison late this year, Nava created an Instagram account. He has been documenting his final days in jail as well as his dramatic weight loss.
Nava captioned his first post with reference to the COVID-19 pandemic. Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, he wished everyone to stay strong and positive while going through the crisis.
Since being convicted with a criminal status, Nava's relationship with his wife has been on the rocks.
"Stay healthy, stay safe out there. Can't wait to be with you guys again soon!" the former reality star said.
With a healthier perspective, Nava has other plans to sort through after his official release. The California-native wanted to file a divorce from his wife, Russian model Anfisa Arkhipchenko.
Prior to their marriage, the couple met through Facebook. Since being convicted with a criminal status, Nava's relationship with his wife has been on the rocks.
Nava initially tried to maintain a relationship with her, but they soon parted ways. A representative from Arkhipchenko has yet to comment on his plan.
Nava is not the only television star who grabbed headlines for their weight loss. Jim DiBattista of the "Biggest Loser" recently opened about his road to weight loss. From 400 pounds, the former football coach has dropped an incredible 144 pounds.
