In light of the recent protests against racism in the United States, many have joined the conversation over the issue. Famous actress China McClain recently shared her experiences.

The actress published a video on Instagram yesterday, where she explained that she wanted to share a bit of her experience with racism. The 8-minute long clip saw her describe a particularly nasty experience that she had with her family at an airport.

In the video, McClain sits across a balcony wearing a green turtleneck shirt and a pair of track pants. The actress had minimal makeup on, and she accessorized with a ring and a pair of large earrings. All of these blended perfectly with her brown hair.

McClain explained that she and some family members were waiting at the unnamed airport. One of them was in a wheelchair and was being pushed by someone else. All of them were waiting for a train to take them to the baggage claim spot. There weren't many people at the airport. However, a white man was staring at them from a corner. McClain added:

"This white man next to us looks up, and he's just staring. So, I look, and I'm just kinda waiting for him to say something. Or he could look up and make eye contact so I can smile."

McClain explained that the man eventually told them that they were blocking the door. This was even though they evidently weren't. They all eventually got into the train, and a white woman who did block an entrance came in later on. Despite this, the white man didn't rebuke her for that.

She grabbed headlines for her reaction to the death of former co-star Cameron Boyce.

The video drew a lot of praise from fans, who thanked her for her bravery. While it might not have seemed like such a harrowing experience, McClain pointed out that these little things do matter.

Considering that many across the world have encouraged discussions on racial injustice, the actress gave her two cents on the issue. The actress added:

"Black people subconsciously learn to, like, rate the level of racism they're dealing with. A lot of it, we just breathe and let it go because it's so common."

McClain has never been shy about speaking her mind on issues. Last year, she grabbed headlines for her reaction to the death of former co-star Cameron Boyce.

Boyce and McClain starred in Disney's "Descendants." Sadly, he died last year. In a video, McClain explained that Boyce was her best friend.

The actress tearfully recalled how close they were. Of course, considering how many projects they worked on, it's not surprising. In a later interview, she also claimed that she didn't know about his health condition. As she explained, Boyce's family had kept that private.
