Asides from being Metcalfe's leading woman at some point, Santana has a robust personality outside her dating life, and here are some interesting things to note about her.

AN ACTIVIST

Santana, who hails from El Paso, Texas, is an activist for human rights. Some of her major frontiers are immigrant rights and the fight against systemic oppression. She recently joined in the protest and on Instagram she said:

"Sometimes, it's just standing next to your fellow human and saying we are in this together; you are not alone. ?."

Asides from fighting against systemic oppression, Santana also lends her voice to the Black Lives Matter movement. An active fighter for immigrant rights, Santana once spent the summer of 2018 understanding the new immigration policies.

A LOVER OF DOGS

Santana is a known lover of dogs. She often spends her time rescuing and adopting dogs that need love and care from shelters. Her favorite species of dogs are bulldogs, and she loves fostering them before finding families for them.

Although they had split, Santana and Metcalfe are still living together.

Interestingly, her brother Sammy is also a lover of dogs, and last year, the duo said goodbye to their dog Peroni. For Santana, the moment Peroni spent with them was special and could not be denied just the way other dogs are special.

Santana is also a model, actress, and fashion blogger. Earlier this year, she joined the Starz comedy series "Vida" and modeled for the "Retreat Magazine," where she opened up about owning her sexuality.

She also serves as the global engagement officer of "Glamsquad," an on-demand salon app. Alongside this, Santana runs her fashion blog through which she promotes diversity by featuring models of all backgrounds.

For Santana, growing up with magazines that featured only certain types of women was hard. As she grew older, she realized that her friends did not see themselves modeled in these magazines, and this prompted her to start her diverse modeling line.

Cara Santana and Jesse Metcalfe had been dating for close to thirteen years before he proposed to her in 2016. Santana had said their wedding was going to be sometime in 2018 and was going to be a small event with only family and few friends.

The couple who enjoyed taking vacation trips together and even took one to Brugge last Christmas have broken off their engagement due to cheating allegations leveled against Metcalfe.

Metcalfe was pictured hugging two women earlier this year, and a source close to Santana revealed that she was blindsided by these pictures and did not know what was going on at the time the pictures made the round.

Although they had split, Santana and Metcalfe are still living together, and someone close to the couple revealed that it was because of the current lockdown, which made it difficult for them to find separate living quarters.
