Like The Beatles member, his pal Richie is also an accomplished singer and songwriter, who found success with hits such as “Truly,” “Hello,” and “Dancing on the Ceiling.”

The singer, who is a judge on “American Idol” also co-wrote the famous song “We Are the World” with the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Recently, an idea sparked in Richie to remake the song amid the coronavirus pandemic, thinking the lyrics related to what the world is currently experiencing.

“We Are The World” sends a powerful message that gives hope in times of difficulty, encouraging people to take action to save our own kind and mother earth.

Ten years ago, the track was sung by famous artists following the earthquake in Haiti that left the country shattered.
