After celebrating his 28th birthday, EJ took to Instagram once more to post a series of pictures on his stories. In the photos, he is elegantly posing next to a pool wearing a blue mini-dress that fits him just right.
Besides recognizing himself as a gender-fluid person, he has also been known for enjoying his lavish way of living. But being a fashion icon on the making has not to stop EJ from being a loving family guy with his parents and siblings.
COMING OUT
When the former “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills” cast member came out to his father, the longtime NBA legend did not take it so well. Cookie Johnson, Magic’s wife, and EJ talked about the experience during an episode of Facebook's Red Table Talk show. “It was a little tough”, said Cookie during the interview.
EJ’s mom said that her husband was worried about his son living his life in a world that would not understand him. Although Johnson reacted at first, he talked to his son the next day and at that moment, they knew everything was going to be fine between them.
Cookie revealed that she noticed her son was different since he was a little boy, however, she thought he would grow out of it, but it happened the opposite. To these days, the whole family supports EJ in every way, as the close and lovely family they all are.
Johnson confessed in an interview: “I think it's all about you not trying to decide what your daughter or son should be or what you want them to become. It's all about loving them no matter who they are, what they decide to do.”
GENDER-FLUID
Since EJ came out in 2013 he has set his own path in the transgender pop-culture. Today he is becoming a fashionista who is looking to give a stronger voice to the transgender community through his own experience. He said on an interview:
“I guess you’re just floating in the spectrum, you’re not really defined by any gender confines if you will, I’m just EJ.”
Since his father’s relationship with HIV, as a spokesperson and being positive himself, EJ was introduced to gay culture from a very early age, so he has longtime been related to the activism and discrimination that surrounds it.
By knowing and enjoying his privileged life, he has been part of “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills,” for four seasons, and then on his own spinoff called “EJNYC,” which lasted only 6 episodes.
