Chely Wright & Lauren Blitzer Have Been Happily Married for 9 Years — inside Their Struggle for Love

Country Singer Chely Wright struggled with embracing her sexuality for a long time, but she eventually found love with Lauren Blitzer, whom she has been married to for nine years. Here's a look inside their beautiful love story.

Chely Wright is a prolific country singer and one of the first from the country music industry to identify as a member of the LGBTQ community openly.

Long before coming out as a lesbian, Wright struggled with embracing her sexuality for fear of what it might do to her music career.

Wright, however, navigated through her fears, and in 2010, she shared her truth with the world, and amazingly, it was this bold step that led her to Lauren Blitzer, who would later be her wife.

Two weeks after Wright publicly came out, she met Blitzer, who is an activist for the LGBTQ community, and with her fears long gone, Wright was able to pursue a relationship with Blitzer confidently. Speaking to "People" about their relationship, Wright said:

"The freedom of being out and open about who I am allowed me to find and fall in love with Lauren - the most amazing woman I've ever known."

After dating for a while, Wright and Blitzer took their relationship to the next level, and in 2011, the couple tied the knot in a 200-guest ceremony, which was held at Blitzer's aunt's house in Connecticut.

With both brides wearing wedding dresses by J Crew Bridal, the duo was joined together by both a reverend and a rabbi with respect to both of their faiths.

In a similar vein, country music legends, Cactus Moser and Wynonna Judd are another couple with an intriguing love story.

Two years after their wedding, Wright and Blitzer welcomed twin boys whom they named after their great grandfathers, George Samuel and Everett Joseph.

The celebrity couple currently resides in New York, and while Wright continues to make music, Blitzer works as the Senior Marketing Director of Marketing at Sony Music Entertainment.

In a similar vein, country music legends, Cactus Moser and Wynonna Judd are another couple with an intriguing love story. The stars met for the first time in the '80s, and this was followed by years of friendship, which eventually transitioned into a romantic relationship in 2009.

Three years after they officially started dating, Judd and Moser tied the knot in a private ceremony at Judd's farm in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee.

Sadly, shortly after their wedding, the couple experienced a great tragedy after Moser was involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in the amputation of his left leg.
