See What Tika Sumpter & Fiancé Nick James Had to Say to Each Other Accompanied by Cute Pics of Them by the Beach

Actress Tika Sumpter and her beau, actor Nicholas James were all shades of cute in their recent Instagram posts. The actress and actor decided to pen sweet tributes to each other, celebrating their special love. James first shared photos of himself with Sumpter and wrote,

"This person right here is my #rideordie! I'll go anywhere with you! I wouldn't want to be quarantined with anyone but you!"

He added that his special lady taught him a lot of things about himself, opening his eyes in ways he would never have seen. He concluded by confessing his undying love for Sumpter.

Hours after James's loving post, Sumpter, his beautiful wife, responded with her own tribute. The actress posted the same pictures her fiance posted of them at the beach.

Her caption shared how resilient their love had been amid the pandemic, adding that she would still choose him always, and concluding that she would continue to love him until the wheels fall off.

Sumpter kept her pregnancy with James under wraps throughout the entire period, just like other aspects of her private life.

James and Sumpter allegedly first crossed paths on the set of Tyler Perry's OWN network drama series, "The Haves and The Have Nots." They hit it off and fell deeply in love with each other.

The lovebirds made sure to keep their relationship very private, hardly ever sharing details about their private lives. This was until Sumpter announced that she and James were engaged on an episode of Fox's "The Real." Sumpter said:

"Yeah, I'm engaged. He did all of these amazing things. I went on a little hunt in the house. It was just simple and just awesome."

While narrating the sweet proposal story, Sumpter revealed that her fiance sent her on a scavenger hunt around the house, which she suspected to be an impending proposal. It turned out she was right.

The engagement came just months after the actress and her fiance welcomed their first child together, a sweet baby girl, Ella Loren, in 2016.

Like other aspects of her private life, her pregnancy was also kept under wraps, and only one exclusive interview was granted throughout the entire period.

The actress and mother admitted that it was important to keep that delicate information out of the spotlight. Sumter said she was a protective momma bear, and she knew just how harsh the internet could be.
