Mariah Carey treated her fans to a cute selfie with her adorable daughter, Monroe Cannon. While the singer's gorgeous looks cannot be ignored, it's her daughter's smile that truly steals the show.

Carey's daughter has her million-dollar smile and it shows as she posed with her white stuffed animal in the photo. The songstress simply captioned the post with a red heart emoji.

HOW MARIAH AND NICK CO-PARENT

Monroe is one of the twins who Carey and her ex-husband Nick Cannon welcomed back in 2011. The couple divorced in 2016 after 8 years of marriage.

Besides Monroe, Carey is a doting mom to her son Moroccan. She and her ex co-parent their children like pros and seem to have an amicable relationship.

In an interview with "PEOPLE," Carey once shared that her kids are a lot but they give her so much love in return. Talking about co-parenting them with Cannon, she said:

"I think Nick and I have done pretty well in co-parenting, staying friends with each other so that we can talk."

Although they are in a good place that way, Carey and Cannon did not always have it easy after going their separate ways. In fact, things were tough when they first started co-parenting.

TEACHING THEM TO BE HUMBLE

According to Carey, she and Cannon put their egos and selfishness behind to put their children first, but it took them a long time to get there.

Luckily, the exes could look past their differences for the sake of their children. Carey has done a great job keeping her children grounded, too.

Carey teaches her kids to always be grateful because she did not come from money. "I can’t even imagine having, like, one dollar as a kid because we didn’t have money going around," she said in an interview with People.

When Carey was growing up, she had a lot of fun, but she also missed out on many things because her family did not have much. That is one of the reasons why she is able to make the best of whatever situation she is in.
