Tami Roman Pays Tribute to Mom Nadine and Grandma Birdie – Here's Why

Tami Roman recently paid homage to her late mom and grandma years after they passed away: “It still feels like yesterday.”

Seven years ago, Tami Roman’s mother, Nadine, passed away. Seven years later, the “Basketball Wives” star paid tribute to her late mom and grandmother Birdie on Instagram.

According to the actress, the memory of her “beautiful Queens” leaving her seems so fresh despite it happening years ago.

PAYING TRIBUTE TO HER LATE MOTHER

Roman posted the message alongside a vintage-looking photo of her mother and grandmother, side by side. She wrote in part:

“I was angry at first wondering why y’all had to leave me here alone, but over the years I’ve realized it was so I could grow up and be the woman you both raised me to be.”

The reality star’s mom passed away a week before her birthday. At the time, Roman said that things would never be the same without Nadine.

THE MOTHER-DAUGHTER-DUO

Roman and Nadine shared an incredible bond for several years, especially after her father-figure who she looked up to cheated on her mother.

Unfortunately, the couple suffered three miscarriages in the past despite wanting to expand their family.

After Nadine divorced her husband, she and Roman went through many challenges, including being homeless for half a year. Through it all, they stuck together and found solace in each other.

LIFE AND CAREER

Roman became a host for MTV’s different shows including, “MTV Beach House,” “MTV Jams,” “Primetime MTV,” and “Rude Awakening.”

She later landed roles on television shows such as “Summerland,” “Sex, Love & Secrets,” “Moonlight,” “JAG,” “One on One,” and more.

ROMAN’S PLANS FOR PREGNANCY

Today, Roman is a proud mother-of-two and married to Reggie Youngblood. Unfortunately, the couple suffered three miscarriages in the past despite wanting to expand their family. She shared:

“He has no children. We tried three times. We unfortunately, suffered three miscarriages. And now, we’re considering a surrogate.”

The couple already took the necessary steps to fulfill their plan and are now looking for a surrogate mother for their baby.
