Robin Roberts' Girlfriend Amber Shares a Romantic Tribute to the Host — What Are They Celebrating?

"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts' girlfriend, Amber Laign recently took to her Instagram page to pen down a sweet tribute to the veteran journalist on their 15th anniversary.

Love is a beautiful thing for those who are lucky enough to find it. However, what is more remarkable is when that love stands the test of time and continues to blossom through several years.

Fans of veteran journalist Robin Roberts have watched closely as her relationship with her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign blossomed over the years, and recently the pair celebrated a milestone.

On Sunday, July 26, Laign took to her Instagram page to post a sweet tribute to her longtime partner in celebration of their 15-year journey as lovers.

The post featured a picture collage that took fans down a trip through beautiful memories shared by the couple over the years. She penned down a sweet message in the caption which read,

"15 years ago, I met you for drinks on a blind date that both you and I tried to cancel...twice. Your grace caught my eye right away, and the ease of the evening continued to flow through dinner…"

Roberts reposted the tribute on her Instagram page which has since garnered thousands of reactions from her fans who congratulated the lovebirds on reaching another milestone in their relationship.

Roberts and Laign began dating in 2005 after they were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend. The pair kept their relationship under the radar for many years until Roberts came out as gay for the first time in a December 2013 Facebook post.

Earlier in the year, Laign lost her dad and the news was first shared by Roberts on January 5 on her Instagram page.

Nearly four months after her big reveal, Roberts opened up about her longtime partner for the first time during a chat with Ellen DeGeneres.

Roberts talked about how Laign had been very supportive through her health struggles including undergoing a bone marrow transplant surgery. During the interview, Roberts also thanked DeGeneres for paving the way for other gay women to come out with their truth.

The 59-year-old anchor also revealed that she was enjoying a clean bill of health and praised the efforts of her doctors and family members in getting her through her health crisis.

Despite the 14-year age gap between Roberts, 59, and Laign, 45, the pair have remained committed to each other through the years and display palpable chemistry.

Laign is a licensed massage therapist and predominantly treats people recovering from injuries. She also has a fashion background and previously worked as a sales rep for Berger & Stevens.

Earlier in the year, Laign lost her dad, and the news was first shared by Roberts on January 5 on her Instagram page. Few days after the announcement, Roberts flew down to Clayton California to be by Laign's side during the memorial service.

The couple has enjoyed a loving and very supportive relationship through their 15 years together. Given how much they seem to be in love with each other, fans expect many more happy memories from the pair.
