Here's How Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas Plan to Celebrate Their 20th Wedding Anniversary
Hollywood couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones will celebrate their wedding anniversary this year like never before. Dishing about the details of the milestone celebration, less is going to be more.
The last in three special upcoming dates will mark 20 years of marriage for Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas. While it is a milestone in their relationship, its celebration will take place in consideration of the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic.
"We won't be doing any great big party. Not that I'm a big party fan anyway," Zeta-Jones said during a recent interview. "So I will raise my mask and let my husband passionately kiss me, then I will put it firmly back on."
The couple, who share an age gap of twenty-five years, will officially be married for 20 years on November 18. And it trails on their joint birthdays on September 25, and their son, Dylan's birthday in August when he turns 20.
Besides Dylan, Zeta-Jones and Michael also share a daughter Carys two years her brother's junior, and she's been in Switzerland at school before the pandemic had both kids return to the nest to wait out the quarantine.
The 50-year-old actress is delighted at having her kids home with so much extra time available to spend with them and gushingly added during her interview with PEOPLE:
"All of a sudden we were all back together again. And I have to say, I loved it. I really loved it."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones met back in 1996 when she promoted her film "The Mask of Zorro" at the Deauville Film Festival, the same as Douglas with his film "A Perfect Murder."
Mutual friends Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith introduced them during a private dinner, and Douglas knew right away that they would end up here, twenty years later.
After meeting Zeta-Jones earlier that evening for the first time, he joined her for a nightcap and proceeded to inform her that she would be the future mother of his children.
Even though Zeta-Jones had no intention of seeing Douglas again after that comment, he won her heart anyway, and his prediction came true.
Father's Day also recently came around, and Catherine Zeta-Jones made sure to pay tribute to the two special men in her life - her father, and her beloved husband Michael Douglas.
In two separate posts to social media, Zeta-Jones shared her gratitude for the "wind beneath her wings" and Douglas, her "love" and the father of her children.
