Woman Refuses to Let Sister and Her Kids Move into the House That She Bought –– What Would You Do?
A woman was not about to be told what to do with her newly bought house - not by her mother or by her sister, who called her "selfish" for not caving when she demanded to move in with her children.
A 32-year-old woman wanted to get a broader perspective on a situation that unfolded between herself, her mom, and her sister after she bought herself a house.
For the sake of clarity, the upset 32-year-old's name is Beth, who is also single and loving her new house where she lives with her two dogs. Beth's sister, known as Traci for now, is a mom of three, and she lives with her kids in a two-bedroom apartment.

The problem arose when Traci started complaining that her apartment doesn't give her children the space they deserve. She accused Beth of being "wasteful" since she lives alone in her new 3-bedroom house while ignoring her and her children's needs.
On top of Traci's disapproval, their mom decided to weigh in on the situation and called Beth to tell her that she should let Traci and her three children move in her house. Their mother's meddling did not sit well with Beth, who refused.
Taking a hard stand, Beth said that she will be the only one living in her house, and to mediate circumstances, she offered to help Traci financially so she could afford a bigger place than a 2-bedroom apartment, but Traci declined.

Again, their mom took Tracy's side and suggested that Beth just allow them to move in, so she doesn't have to find an alternative place to live. Taken aback by the absurd suggestion, Beth added:
"She said this as if she was doing me a favour. I told her she had lost her mind and hung up."
As netizens weighed in, a fair number of platform users blamed the mom for "enabling" Tracy to place responsibility for the needs of her children on someone else.

Other social media users called Tracy the "selfish" one, and the idea that the mom would expect Beth to move out of her own home so her family can move in baffled countless people. But what do you think? What would you do if you were in Beth's shoes?
Dealing with family is a different experience for everyone, and another woman's plight about her mother also went viral on the same forum.
Contrary to Beth, this woman's story went about her ability to have children, and she blamed her mother for fertility problems she experienced later on in her life.
