Despite the severity of his injuries, Cowell's surgery went well, and he is reported to be recuperating. While speaking to Deadline, a source said:

"They operated overnight, the surgery went well, and he is in the hospital recovering."

Cowell's accident occurred when he was testing his new electric bicycle in the courtyard at his house in Malibu, California and he was hospitalized right after.

True to his representative's words, Cowell seems to be recovering well and mustered enough strength to show appreciation to the health workers treating him.

Following the news of the surgery, fans trooped to social media to send the AGT judge their well wishes and prayers. One fan wrote: "Darn.. that’s too bad! Speedy recovery," while another stated them they were praying for Cowell.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Cowell has been quarantining with his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and their 6-year-old son Eric.

In addition to their son together, Silverman is also a mother to 14-year-old Adam, whom she welcomed from a previous relationship.

Before his accident, Cowell was expected to film "America's Got Talent's" first live show on Tuesday in Universal City, California.

The show's 15th season continues production after the novel coronavirus pandemic halted its filming schedule and production.

Despite Cowell's absence, filming has continued, but it is no surprise that his co-stars on the show are anticipating his return.

Taking to Instagram, actress Sofia Vergara, who also doubles as a judge on the show, shared a photo from the show's set on Sunday, which showed Cowell's empty seat.

In her caption, Vergara declared that she and her colleagues missed him and could not wait to have him back on the show.

Without a doubt, Cowell's absence will be much felt, and many, including his fans, also can't wait to see the star, who once noted his love for electric bikes, back on their screens.
