Anthony Anderson Receives Own Hollywood Walk of Fame Star – See His Powerful Message about It
Anthony Anderson has realized that there’s beauty in one’s dreams coming true after he got his own Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
“Black-ish” star, Anthony Anderson seemed to be in high spirits after he received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star on Friday. The event, which was marked with a virtual ceremony, was attended by his loved ones.
The actor subsequently shared a glimpse into what went down with his Instagram followers. While several images showed Anderson posing with the star, one photo featured him holding up the star’s certificate as his family surrounded him.

The father-of-two also included an image of him stepping on his star before he struck a pose with his mother, Doris Hancox. Along with the images, Anderson got his fans thinking as he told them:
“Dreams do come true! Those dreams are made possible thru faith, hard work, patience and sacrifice!”
As it turned out, the 50-year-old wasn’t the only one feeling excited as many of his celebrity friends, including Marlon Wayans, Loni Love, and D. L. Hughley, dropped separate congratulatory posts.
[Anderson's] Walk of Fame star has made him the first celebrity to receive the honor amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
While Wayans confessed that they dreamed of “this [expletive] 30 years ago,” Love excitedly congratulated Anderson on the achievement. Meanwhile, Hughley shared Anderson’s original post along with a shout out to the actor.
Although Anderson was inducted into the Walk of Fame Class two years ago, he chose to wait until he turned 50 on August 15 to celebrate it.
The actor, who stars in and executive produces “Black-ish,” also has acting credits on “The Departed,” “Transformers,” and “Kangaroo Jack.”
It is, however, his portrayal of Andre “Dre” Johnson on the hit ABC series, which has earned him the most praise. Since “Black-ish” started in 2014, Anderson has earned six back-to-back Emmy nominations for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series.
In addition to that, his Walk of Fame star has made him the first celebrity to receive the honor amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Even though the pandemic has halted Anderson’s plans to have a big bash, it hasn’t stopped him from planning one.
The actor even promised fans that he would get a “permit to shut down that part of the street,” so they can turn up with him in grand style. Until the world fully opens and the bash can happen, Anderson’s fans will just have to keep enjoying his social media posts.
