Adele Reveals Life-Changing Book Stopped Her from Being Stressed after Dramatic Weight Loss
Adele has recently lost a whopping seven stone and she puts it all down to a strict diet, daily exercise, and a self-help book that helped her find happiness.
The multi-Grammy Award-winning singer, Adele Adkins, recently revealed that a life-changing self-help book was the answer to her dramatic weight loss.
The book in question is "Untamed, Stop Pleasing, Start Living" written by Glennon Doyle, a biography and self-help book that encourages women to stop trying to please others and listen to the voice inside themselves.
In a recent post on her Instagram page, Adele revealed that reading the book had proved life-changing, making a huge impact on her life and helping her find happiness and freedom.
She shared a photo of the book cover and encouraged her followers to buy the book if they also wanted to make changes in their lives.
The 32-year-old pop star and mother-of-one recently lost over 98 pounds after working with her now-former personal trainer, Pete Geracimo, and changing her eating and exercise habits.
Her weight loss caused an Internet storm, drawing both positive and negative comments on her new figure.
Geracimo said at the time that he believed that armchair negativity was spread on social media without any consideration of the personal impact on an individual.
But despite the negative comments and criticism about her weight loss, Adele seems to have risen above it to come out at the top, with the help, she says of Glennon Doyle’s book.
Adele said the book made her realize that she doesn’t always have to feel ‘stressed and disheveled, confused and selfless’ and that it has taught her that by liberating herself, others around her would also be liberated. She said:
“Read this book and have a highlighter on hand to make notes because you'll want to refer back to it, trust me."
Adele's road to success has not been an easy one, and her fluctuating weight has been only one part of her life story.
At the 2017 Grammy Awards, she revealed her rocky relationship with her biological father, Mark Evans, who walked out on her mother when she was three.
She credits women like Beyoncé for being her inspiration, sharing a post on Instagram with "Queen Bey" on the television screen behind her showcasing her latest album, “Black Is King.”
Her recent divorce from Simon Konecki and rumored relationship with Skepta past her, Adele is single again. So, it's no surprise she is drawing strength from wherever she get can get it.
She went on to say that she would keep returning to the book for the rest of her life and encouraged her followers to do the same.
Her Instagram post about the book saw fans asking when her next album would be released. Adele confessed that she didn’t know when the new album would come out as she is in quarantine.
