Matthew Alan Married Camilla Luddington after a Decade of Dating — inside Their Love Story
Matthew Alan, best known as Seth Massey in "13 Reasons Why," has been in a relationship with "Grey's Anatomy" star Camilla Luddington for years. She recently gave birth to her second child.
Although Alan is not as famous as his partner, he has worked in the entertainment industry since the early-2000s. In 2007, for example, he landed the role of Danny in "Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side."

MATTHEW ALAN'S CAREER
From that point on, Alan kept getting acting gigs in different TV shows, including "Lost," "Sons of Anarchy," "The Mentalist," and "Murder in the First." Most recently, he appeared on "13 Reasons Why" and "Castle Rock."
Back in 2017, Matthew Alan and Camilla Luddington worked together in "Grey's Anatomy." Alan played David Fisher, the dad of a kid who dealt with persistent headaches and fatigue. Luddington, on the other hand, has portrayed Dr. Jo Wilson for years.

David, a very religious man, didn't want to accept any type of medical intervention for his kid. Eventually, his son Liam (played by Hudson West) was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Against medical advice, David and his wife Marie (portrayed by Anastasia Phillips) took Liam home, who later returned to the hospital without his parents' permission.
Doctors perform the required surgery, but when David and Marie went back to the hospital and learned about the procedure, they get mad at the staff.
In the end, both parents accepted the fact that the completely successful surgery was the only viable option to save Liam's life. They stayed by his bedside, praying while he gets better.
ALAN WAS JEALOUS OF LUDDINGTON'S ON-SCREEN WEDDING
Speaking of "Grey's Anatomy," Camilla Luddington revealed in September 2018 that her real-life partner was a little jealous of her on-screen wedding to Justin Chambers' character Alex Karev. She said:
"I was leaving that morning, and he was like, 'Bye! Good luck with your wedding to someone else.' It's very weird, [but] he's an actor too, so he understands."
Matthew Alan, in fact, went to Calamigos Ranch, the place where Alex and Jo's wedding took place, and he loved the venue. Again, he joked that he and Luddington could have tied the knot there, but it was not possible anymore because she and Alex took it already.
Finally, the real-life couple joked about exchanging their vows in front of the priest (who was, of course, an actor) and getting married on that very same day. They didn't, fortunately.
CAMILLA LUDDINGTON AND MATTHEW ALAN'S WEDDING AND KIDS
Luddington and Alan got engaged on 2018 New Year's Eve. In August 2019, they tied the knot in a private ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. Only 70 people were invited to the nuptials.
The actress admitted that she and her partner felt married even before making it official because they share a daughter who, at the time, was two years old. Luddington added, though, that "solidifying" their family unit was romantic.
Camilla Luddington and her husband have two children already, daughter Hayden and son Lucas. The couple announced the birth of the baby boy on August 25, 2020.
After giving birth, she told People that her family had been quarantining together since March and that, although it was challenging from time to time, it gave them enough time to prepare for their new addition.
GIVING BIRTH DURING THE PANDEMIC
Another aspect that Luddington shared was that, due to the novel coronavirus, she had to wear a mask in labor.
While she understood how important it was for her to follow the guidelines, she was afraid of it as labors are physically exhausting even without a mask.
Her husband wasn't allowed to be with her during ultrasounds either, so the global pandemic took that away from them.
Nowadays, Matthew Alan and his wife are taking care of their two children at home. The rest of us are eagerly waiting for "Grey's Anatomy" Season 17 to hit the screens. It was expected to air in late-September, but the COVID-19 situation changed the schedule.
