See the Sweet Posts from Sofia Vergara, David Beckham & Rumer Willis on National Dog Day
National Dog Day just passed, and celebrities from various walks of life, including Sofia Vergara, Rumer Willis, and David Beckham, shared their appreciation for the furry friends in their lives.
Every dog has its day, and since 2004 that day came around every year on August 26 unofficially, of course, but celebrated by dog lovers nonetheless.
On Wednesday, various celebrities took to social media to give thanks to man's best friend. Actress Sofia Vergara paid tribute to her two pooches, and soccer legend David Beckham also joined with a few sweet words. Rumer Willis had a whole lot of gratitude to share with her fans as well.
SOFIA VERGARA
Latin actress and the newest addition to the "America's Got Talent" judging panel, Sofia Vergara had an adorable way of honoring her dogs on the unofficial holiday.
Vergara took a selfie holding a dog in each hand and added the effect of dog ears and a nose to her face. In addition to the cute pic, she added a slideshow of adorable moments shared with them:
RUMER WILLIS
Daughter of famed actors Demi Moore and Bruce Willis used National Dog Day to advocate for dog adoption while paying tribute to her beloved rescue dog Dolores.
Alongside a slideshow of images of Dolores, Rumer also gave a sweet nod t the adoption facility where she got her from and wrote:
"My little weirdo Dolores you bring so much joy to my life. Thank you @acredogs for helping me find my best friend."
DAVID BECKHAM
Soccer star David Beckham and his wife Victoria recently added their Cocker Spaniel called Sage to the family. Sage was a birthday present for their daughter Harper, and she joined the older two dogs the family had for years called Fig and Olive.
Showing off their goofy side, Beckham posted a picture taken with Sage where she overwhelmed him with dog kisses, and he would have smiled from ear to ear if he could risk it.
SOME CELEBRITIES LOST THEIR FURRY FRIENDS
In July, the actor Orlando Bloom's miniature poodle, Mighty died, and mourned his dog-friend's passing. Grateful that Mighty taught him the true meaning of devotion and the eternal nature of true love, the loss didn't stop him from crying for several days.

But Orlando Bloom now also has cause for celebration, as his fiance Katy Perry just gave birth to their first child and daughter. Over the moon with excitement, the actor reposted the official statement shared by Unicef, where both are goodwill ambassadors.
The repost also included an adorable picture of a female hand around the newborn's hand, as the moment they've been waiting for finally arrived. Bloom also shared that they decided to call her Daisy Dove Bloom.
