The movie was set for release in December and would chronicle the journey of Chalamet's character, Paul Atreides, as he led nomadic tribes on a trip to a planet called Arrakis.
There they would go into a battle for the control of the planet and extraction of a fictitious valuable substance called melange. Zendaya starred in the film as a character named Chani, who was Chalamet's character's love interest.
The movie would also feature actress Rebecca Ferguson, actors Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, and Dave Bautista. The movie was based on a book of the same name written in 1965 by author Frank Hebert.
