While viewers have been anticipating each season of Netflix's "The Crown," Emma Corrin has been carefully trying to perfect her role as Princess Diana -- a character with difficult shoes to fill in.

In her recent interview with Vogue, the actress opened up about the hit show's fourth season, which is set to hit the screen on November 15. Apart from sharing how she prepared for the role, Corrin revealed what it was like wearing the People's Princess' wedding dress.

IN DIANA'S GOWN

Diana had many moments that the show's fans are more than excited to see, but her royal wedding is, perhaps, the most anticipated event. "The Crown" recreated the princess' exact wedding dress with the help of the gown's original designer. Corrin shared:

"I walked out, and everyone went completely silent. More than anything else I wear in the series, it's so' it's her."

Corrin needed the help of around ten crew members to put on the "massive" gown when they filmed the scene in Lancaster House, London, proving that it does take a village to get things done.

GETTING INTO CHARACTER

"The Crown" star prepared for her much-coveted role with tons of research, including watching "Diana: In Her Own Words" repeatedly and meeting the royal's private secretary, Patrick Jephson.

Netflix revealed that Imelda Staunton will be taking the role of Queen Elizabeth in the final season of "The Crown."

Naturally, the actress grew to admire Diana's personality as she got to know the princess on a deeper level. "I feel I've got to know Diana like you would a friend," she said.

THE PERFECT ROLE

Looking like Diana did not seem difficult for Corrin, who had a strong resemblance to the late princess. As she sported the royal's signature hair, the more convincing she was.

"The Crown" will focus on Diana in their upcoming season, including her fairytale romance and behind the palace's walls. However, Corrin's role as Diana will not last long as Elizabeth Debicki is set to play the princess in the show's last two seasons.

According to the "Night Manager" actress, playing Diana's character and being a part of the series comes as an honor. She has been an avid viewer of the show since day one as well.

PLAYING QUEEN ELIZABETH

Earlier this year, Netflix revealed that Imelda Staunton will be taking the role of Queen Elizabeth in the final season of "The Crown."

Staunton is best known for appearing in the "Harry Potter" films but has also starred in several other movies. Staunton is also an acclaimed stage performer with many productions, including "The Beggar's Opera."

She also has many awards, such as the Olivier Awards, BAFTA Awards, and Venice Festival Volpi Cup for Best Actress. Apart from her wins, Staunton had several nominations for the Golden Globes, Emmys, and Academy Awards.
