The co-host of "The Real" talk show, Adrienne Bailon recently shared a sweet pic of herself and her husband, Israel Houghton enjoying their time at the Grand Canyon in Arizona on Instagram.
The picture showed the couple hugging affectionately with Bailon sitting on her husband's lap while Houghton has his arms wrapped around her waist in a warm embrace. The duo looked perfectly happy in the sun with the Grand Canyon scenery behind them.
The "Cheetah girls" co-star captioned the post with a heartwarming message about the trip to the Grand Canyon being the first time for the couple despite the fact her husband was raised in Arizona. Bailon ended the caption writing:
"We've been loving adventures like this…moments we'll treasure forever!"
Her message received much positive feedback from her fans who wished the couple more happiness in their lives. Fans may recall that the road to happiness for the couple wasn't smooth, the actress told their story on "The Real" talk show.
Bailon said she investigated Houghton's marriage but she confronted Houghton personally when the divorce papers didn't turn up.
Bailon and Houghton had been friends for years and neither ever thought of being a couple at the time as Houghton was going through a divorce. It took a friend pointing out that the duo was perfect for each other before the sparks of romance ignited between them.
Bailon said on the show that they made sure their priorities were set to be friends still before they agreed to start dating. The couple started dating in 2016.
Bailon admitted on her talk show that she investigated Houghton due to the rumors flying around that he was still married to his ex-wife and the mother of his four kids, Meleasa.
Bailon said she investigated Houghton's marriage and confronted him when the divorce papers didn't turn up. The songwriter, however, confessed that he and his ex-wife got divorced under their initials to protect their privacy.
After surviving the ordeal of false rumors, the two were engaged six months later and the wedding bells were heard on November 11, 2016.
The couple got married in a beautiful ceremony in the city of love, Paris, the same place where they got engaged. They had 70 people in attendance and amongst them were her co-hosts on "The Real."
For the talk show host, she believes that she has never been happier as she described the feeling as "blessed and grateful." Bailon and Houghton continue to live a life filled with excitement as seen from photos shared on their Instagram.
