Us Weekly: New Mom Katy Perry Will Not Be Putting Her Career on Hold, a Source Claims
Last month, Perry welcomed her child — Daisy Dove Bloom — with actor Orlando Bloom. The pair have been engaged since last year, and they're already starting a family together. However, a source told US Weekly this week that Perry is already thinking about the next step for herself and her career.
As the source explained, the singer is happy about being a mother and spending time with her little girl. However, she's also making plans to get her career back.

The source added that the couple already has some help with their child. So, Perry doesn't want to waste time. In part, the news medium reported:
"She wants to submerge herself into motherhood... but she is also not putting her career on the back burner. There are already discussions about upcoming projects and work."
The general paradigm is that women who give birth tend to take a while back to relax. However, Perry appears ready to combine work and motherhood. Of course, the fact that they have help with raising their baby is a great benefit. At least, Perry won't have to do everything on her own.
Just two days after giving birth to Daisy, Perry released her sixth studio album, titled "Smile."
The source also confirmed that Orlando Bloom is getting ready to return to work. The actor is currently working on "Carnival Row," a fantasy series on Amazon Prime.
Carnival Row had to pause shooting due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. However, things are clearing up for them to resume. So, he will need to travel back.
Perry and Bloom currently have one of Hollywood's cutest relationships. The pair, who began dating years back, is all set to walk down the aisle soon. However, their baby takes top priority.
As for Perry's enthusiasm to get to work, it's not so surprising. The singer has been making appearances even while pregnant. Just two days after giving birth to Daisy, Perry released her sixth studio album, titled "Smile." She even celebrated the album's release from her hospital bed.
While she was pregnant, Perry performed and made several appearances. When the lockdown hit and events had to move virtually, she still worked while pregnant. So, it's not much of a surprise that she wants to get back to work soon. If anything, she already showed that she can handle it.
